End of Lunar New Year
Yesterday marked the end of the 15 days of Lunar New Year. We are getting rid of the Ying Liu in the living room. To me, this is like the CNY version of Christmas tree. Ying Liu in the house means Chinese New Year is here. There are no presents under it, of course. But, we used to hang lots of hongbaos on it. When I was young, I looked forward to decorating. Our decorations were more lavished then. In the recent years, decorating it feels like a chore. We kept it simple. I kind of like it better this way. Seems more elegant somehow.
